Dairyland SR-22 and FR-44 Insurance: A Closer Look

Dairyland, part of Sentry Insurance, has written non-standard auto for decades and is one of the most common landing spots for drivers who need a filing.

What Dairyland does well

  • Files SR-22s and, where applicable, FR-44s electronically in most states it writes.
  • Low down payments and flexible installment plans, which matter when a DUI has already drained your budget.
  • Writes non-owner policies, so drivers without a vehicle can still satisfy a filing.
  • Accepts records other carriers decline — multiple violations, lapses, suspensions.
  • Where to be careful

  • Installment fees add up. A low down payment can mask a higher effective annual cost.
  • Liability-only is the default value play. Adding comprehensive and collision on a non-standard policy is expensive relative to the car's value.
  • At FR-44 limits (100/300/50 in Florida and Virginia), the gap between Dairyland and other carriers can be several hundred dollars in either direction. It is not automatically the cheapest.
  • Who it fits

Drivers who need coverage bound today, need the filing sent immediately, and value a manageable down payment over the lowest twelve-month total.

    Keeping the filing alive

Autopay is not optional. A missed installment cancels the policy, the carrier notifies the state, and the license is suspended again.
