Colorado SR-22 Requirements Explained

Colorado requires SR-22 filings after DUI/DWAI convictions, driving without insurance, and accumulating too many points. Filings go to the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles.

How long: typically three years from the date of reinstatement.

Minimum liability: 25/50/15.

Colorado also has an interlock requirement for many DUI reinstatements. If you no longer own a car, a non-owner SR-22 policy satisfies the filing at a much lower premium.
